Water Villa room where fire broke out
A fire broke out in one of Taj Coral Resort's water villas on Thursday night.
The Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) revealed that they had received a report of the fire accident around 10:44pm on Thursday night.
MNDF Fire and Rescue teams were quickly deployed to the scene, by which time employees of Taj Coral Resort had successfully managed to get the blaze under control and put out the fire. A cause has not yet been revealed for why the fire broke out in the water villa.
MNDF said that no injuries had been reported in relation to this incident.
