Mohamed Haleem, Sergeant at Arms for the 19th Peoples Majilis, has been suspended from his post pending the results of an ongoing investigation.
The People's Majilis confirmed to RaajjeMV that Mohamed Haleem had been suspended from his position as Sergeant at Arms, and that an investigation was being conducted for a case in relation to him. Mohamed Haleem was appointed as Sergeant at Arms for the 19th People's Majilis with 59 confirmation votes in October 2019.
The People's Majilis has declined to reveal any further information as to why Haleem was suspended as the investigation into his case is still on-going.
Haleem was suspended as Sergeant at Arms for the People's Majilis on Tuesday. The Majilis has since announced that a final decision would be made regarding Haleem's suspension once the a conclusion had been reached in the case being investigated against him.
