Bank of Maldives is to close Velana International Airport (VIA) and Bazar Branches.
The national bank announced its decision to close both branches from December 22
Although the airport branch is to be closed, services will be available through the ATM and the foreing exchange counters at the departure as well as arrival terminals at the airport.
Further, services at the dollar-exchange counter will also proceed uninterruptedly.
BML’s Bazar Branch was initially closed during March, in the face of the global Covid-19 pandemic. The bank revealed that the branch will remain closed, however, ATM services will be continued.
