Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) has revealed that banking services will be closed on December 31, in time for New Year’s Eve.
The central bank revealed that the bank has allocated December 30 as the last day to provide banking services for the people, for the concluding year, announcing that the bank will be closed on December 31, a Thursday.
Although banking services will be closed to the public on the last day of the year, the day is yet to be allocated as a public holiday by the government.
2021 starts with a Friday, which is a public holiday in the Maldives.
