The first-ever Virtual Reality café has been opened in the Maldives.

‘VR Café’ was inaugurated by Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment Ahmed Mahloof at a special ceremony for the occasion, in Gaakoshi.

The newly opened café boasts latest technology, offering Maldivians the experience of virtual reality and café owners revealed that they aim to introduce virtual reality to the Maldivian society, through this experience.

The café features outdoor dining and virtual reality experience for customers, indoors.

Speaking during the inauguration of VR Café, Minister Mahloof revealed that the initiative using the latest technology, is of utmost importance for the youth community and that those behind the initiative had gone through a lot of challenges to reach success.

Mahloof added that other members of the youth community should take the youth behind the first-ever virtual reality café experience, as examples, highlighting that this is a unique concept.
