Maldives has seen a steady increase in airlines operating to the island nation, revealed Velana International Airport (VIA).
Speaking to RaajjeMV, Airport Operation Manager Ibrahim Hussain revealed that Russia’s Aeroflot resumed operations to Maldives on September 11 and that Air Seychelles has also resumed operations to the island nation.
Both airlines have scheduled two flights to the island nation on a weekly basis.
Further, Switzerland’s Edelweiss Airline will also resume operations to Maldives on September 24 and will operate one flight per week.
British Airways is scheduled to begin operations to the Maldives on October 17 and will operate one flight per week.
With the aim to operate four flights per week, Gulf Airline is set to resume operations on October 4.
All of the top airlines operating to the Maldives excluding SriLankan Airlines and China’s airlines have begun operations now, said Hussain who added that they hope other airlines will also resume operations to the island nation, in the near future.
