Maldives has confirmed 2,400 Covid-19 cases since March 7.

18 new cases were reported on Thursday; seven locals and 11 Bangladeshi nationals.

Further, 15 more people have recovered from the virus. With this, the total recoveries is at 1,969.

There are currently 416 active Covid-19 cases in the Maldives.

The country reported two deaths to Covid-19 this week; there have been a total of 10 deaths thus far. While a 43-year-old Filipino national succumbed to the virus on Tuesday, a 92-year-old Maldivian man passed away late Wednesday night.
