The Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has appointed Gordon Andrew Stewart as a Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the company.
In a circular released on Sunday, the company revealed that the British national has over 30 years of international Management experience in the aviation and transport industry across Europe MENA, Asia and North America.
This includes 20 years at executive and board level, said MACL.
Gordon will be joining MACL during July 2020, after the international borders reopen and the company expressed confidence that his in-depth understanding of the business and recognized leadership will guide MACL to achieve greater success.
The appointment comes about one and a half years since Gordon’s predecessor, Adil Moosa resigned. Adil resigned during November 2018.
Moosa Solih served as the acting MD of MACL following Adil’s resignation.
