73 Maldivians stranded in Belarus and the United Kingdom, are to be repatriated next week.

Communications Director at the Foreign Ministry, Miuvan Mohamed said that arrangements have been made to repatriate 50 Maldivians from Belarus and 23 from the UK.

The 50 students in Belarus are to travel to London from Minsk, Belarus on Saturday.

They are to arrive in the Maldives on Sunday, via a flight of the Sri Lankan national airline.

Those traveling back are to purchase tickets, and will be quarantined for a 14-day period upon arrival as per procedures.
