The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has revealed that a total of 307 households from different regions across the Maldives have been brought under monitoring, up until 2:30am on Tuesday.
An updates list publicized by the authority early Tuesday includes a number of households from the Greater Malé Region which includes capital city Malé, Hulhumalé and Villimalé.
Households from a number of islands have also been placed under monitoring, including islands where Covid-19 cases were discovered, as well as others.
13 households were brought under monitoring on May 11, including residences and guesthouses.
Among the six other places under monitoring are godowns, shops and clinics under quarantine. The authority revealed that there are currently no clinics under monitoring.
Further, six islands have also been placed under monitoring:

The Greater Malé Region was locked down on April 15 following the discovery of the first Covid-19 community transmission.
Thulusdhoo was brought under monitoring after a migrant worker in the island tested positive for the virus and positive cases also emerged from the other islands on the list. However, the positive patient from Manadhoo island was discovered only after the patient arrived in the capital city.
The country’s Covid-19 case count sits at 897 as of Tuesday morning, out of which 302 are Maldivian nationals.
