Addu City Council has introduced a special system under which delivery services may be operated during a time several precautionary measures have been implemented against the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
The delivery system was established in cooperation with the Ugail Foundation, with the aim to efficiently provide essential goods and supplies required by households at a time a lockdown has been imposed in the southernmost city.
As such, arrangements have been made for local shops and businesses to delivery their items to the people through this system.
The Ugail Foundation, a non-governmental organization established to carry out essential social work, will be providing information on how the system will operate as well as the registration process, to local businesses who wish to proceed.
The council further revealed that the information sessions will be carried out for each business, respectively. The council will begin contacting businesses in the city to arrange information sessions for them, from Saturday night onward.
