Maldives Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has revealed that they have made arrangements for their customers to efficiently settle pending water bills.

The company’s Managing Director Hassan Shah revealed that they have formed a special policy for individuals who have not been able to pay their bills due to the hardships of the Covid-19 crisis.

As such, customers will be able to divide their payment to efficiently settle the overdue amounts under a settlement agreement until June 16.

A settlement agreement may be reached after discussions with the company, said Shah, who added that these customers will not have to pay a fine.

This service has been made available for all customers during these challenging times.

MWSC has also decided not to disconnect water supply to the people these days, which was practiced prior to the pandemic when customers fail to settle their pending bills.

Customers have been reminded that although the company will not disconnect their services during these days, they must settle the bills when the situation changes.
