Authorities have imposed monitoring measures on a total of 11 houses in the Greater Malé Region.
This was revealed by the Health Protection Agency (HPA) on Thursday afternoon. The tweet reads that a total of 11 houses have been placed under monitoring and no one is allowed to enter or leave the building, as per protocol.
These houses are located in the capital city Malé as well as its suburban extension, Hulhumalé, and were placed under monitoring in relation to the first Covid-19 case in the city.
As such, the houses currently under monitoring are as follows;

- M. Feeroazge 6 B
- M. Loakashi 3C
- M. Sosun Maage
- H. Fenigelidhaage 7 Floor
- Hulhumalé Flat, 6-2-02,
- Ameen Avenue Teak 905,
- M. Naagooshuvillaa 2nd Floor
- Hulhumale Lot no: 11296
- Ma. Orchid
This measure was taken as the residents of the aforementioned houses had come in close contact with the positive patients who were discovered from Malé City on Wednesday.
After the discovery of the first patient, patient 21, who had no travel history, the government imposed a 24-hour lockdown, which has since been extended to another 24 hours.
As of Thursday, there have been a total of 23 confirmed cases in the country, with 16 patients having recovered. Currently being treated are all local cases.
