Three individuals from Addu City test negative for Covid-19
 
Two nurses and a doctor at the Addu Equatorial Hospital were placed under home-quarantine after coming into contact with a man that returned from Cochin

The three individuals that developed Covid-19 like symptoms in southernmost Addu City have tested negative.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) tweeted this on Monday.

While HPA did not reveal any further details and a press conference is scheduled for 9pm, two nurses and a doctor at the Addu Equatorial Hospital were placed under home-quarantine after coming into contact with a man that returned from Cochin in India and had exhibited symptoms.

The man is to have gone into the hospital without announcing his possible condition, and the healthcare workers had attended to him without wearing the personal protective equipment.

The government's Covid-19 spokesperson, Mohamed Mabrook Aziz confirmed to RaajjeMV that the said man also tested negative for Covid-19.

While a total of 18 people tested positive for Covid-19 in the Maldives thus far, 13 have recovered and there are currently three active cases in the country; results of two Italians came back after they departed from the country.
