Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Company (MMPRC) is to promote the Maldives as a travel destination, in partnership with globally renowned news agency CNN.
MMPRC made the reveal via a statement, which reads that the campaign is set to kick off in March and will proceed for a period of three months.
The campaign will feature photos and videos of the Maldives that captivate the archipelago nation’s natural beauty, traditions and culture, to be shared on CNN websites as well as social media platforms.
An initiative of MMPRC, the largest travel promotion body in the country, the campaign will focus on featuring Maldives as the most ideal and pleasant destination for zealous travelers in five different areas of the world; South Asia, Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa and Europe.
Dubbed by MMPRC as one of the biggest promotion campaigns thus far this year, MMPRC revealed plans to further promote Maldives to 23 different global markets.
MMPRC’s initiative comes at a time the Maldives tourism industry has been highly affected by the wide-spreading Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) coming out of China. The company reveals that they are gearing up to rise above the negative effects of the global epidemic by launching the series of promotional events.
As part of efforts by the MMPRC to promote the country’s tourism, they also launched a series of media familiarization trips in line of which several teams of journalists are arriving in the country from different parts of the globe.
