Presented by the National Boating Association of Maldives (NBAM), the Maldives Boating Awards 2019 were conferred on Monday night.
While the awarding ceremony was held at Dharubaaruge, Tourism Minister Ali Waheed attended as the chief guest of this year’s Maldives Boating Awards.
One of the most recognized titles, the Boating Personality Award was conferred to Maldives Boat Club’s Mufeed Abdulla this year.
Awards were presented in 28 different categories on various sectors to encourage and raise standards within the boating industry.
As such, the Dive Guide of the Year award was conferred to Mohamed Zinah and the Surf Guide of the Year to Abdulla Abdul Latheef. Moreover, seven parties won the Faces of the Boating Industry.

8. Best Diver Safari: Sachika Safari,
9. Best Fishing Safari: Kethi, Voyagers Maldives,
10. Best Surf Safari: Horizon 2, Blue Horizon,
11. Best Liveaboard Yacht Builder: Offshore Yachts Private Limited,
12. Boat Equipment Supplier of the Year: D Blue Marine,
13. Bunkering and Fuel Suppliers of the Year: The Hawks Private Limited,
14. Dock Yard / Slipway of the Year: MTCC Dock Yard,
15. Liveaboard or Yacht Brand of the Year: Carpe Diem Maldives,
16. Best Tanker (fuel) Operator: The Hawks Private Limited,
17. Liveaboard or Yacht Operator of the Year: Blue K Safari Private Limited,
18. Liveaboard Travel Agent or Tour Operator: Maldives Holiday Collections,
19. Marine Engineering Service Provider of the Year (main engine): VAM Company Private Limited,
20. Marine Engineering Service Provider of the Year (outboard engine): Hassan Marine Engineering Solutions,
21. Most Preferred Marine Engine of the Year (main engine): Doosan, VAM Company Private Limited,
22. Most Preferred Marine Engine of the Year (outboard engine): Yamaha, Allied Investment,
23. Most Preferred Marine Generator Brand of the Year: Sole’ Diesel, D Blue Marine, and
24. Most Preferred Marine Paint of the Year: International Marine Paint, Seagull Group.
Awards were conferred in a total of 27 categories during the previous year and the NBAM revealed their aim to help businesses grow successfully and sustainably as well as to help clients and operators choose the appropriate company while choosing a cruise vacation in the country.
Established in 2014, the Maldives Boating Award has been recognizing the strength and importance of the local boating industry and to appreciate the excellence of service providers in the field.
