Fenaka Corporation Limited has denied reports alleging that the company's utility systems are deteriorating due to a lack of technical staff.
According to the press statement released on Wednesday, the company's Managing Director, Ahmed Saeed Mohamed, stated that the article titled "declining conditions of utility providing systems due to lack of technicians have been observed: Azim" published by online news media "Sun" is based on distorted and unconfirmed information.
Fenaka states that Male' Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has only been contracted to repair design flaws in systems established by MWSC that were overlooked when MWSC designed the project.
They further attributed the setback in system repair to long delays on MWSC's side in providing new parts as well as entirely new pumps required for the repair.
They claim that they are forced to rely on MWSC for the repairs as most of the pump systems were created and are currently sold by MWSC.
Nevertheless, they revealed that the company has found a solution and guaranteed that all the systems will work efficiently by 2020.
They concluded by reiterating that the allegations of deteriorating conditions of their systems due to a lack of technical staff are false.
They assert that Fenaka has not neglected the upkeep of their systems and that 95% of the issues faced by the pump systems are due to neglect by MWSC.
