Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) has appointed popular football player Assad Abdul Ghanee as the institute’s Sports Ambassador.
Chief of Defense Force Major General Abdulla Shamaal handed the letter of appointment to Assad during a special ceremony on Wednesday.
Assad has been appointed for a period of two years and his responsibility includes promoting sports among the defense officers and encouraging them to maintain high spirits and energy for sports.
The famous football player was once the Captain of the Maldives National Football Team and secured several wins and accomplishments to the team during his days playing for the team.
He is also one of the most famed players, supported by several Maldivians.
