Gov't prioritizes making hepatitis tests accessible to more people at once: Ameen
 
A National Hepatitis Technical Advisory Group and National Strategic Action Plan on Viral Hepatitis was launched
 
A panel discussion was also observed throughout the ceremony

The government aims to pave an efficient way for a maximum number of people of take hepatitis tests, at once, in the priority it has to promote the health sector of Maldives, says Minister of Health, Abdulla Ameen.

Speaking at a ceremony held to commemorate “Hepatitis B 2019” at Paradise Island Resort on Monday night, Minister Ameen stressed on the importance of keeping the public well-informed and updated on the risks and information of the chronic virus.

A panel discussion was also observed throughout the ceremony, where the participants were educated on the infectious virus.

During the ceremony, an Ambassador was also appointed, with the establishment of a “National Hepatitis Technical Advisory Group” and a “National Strategic Action Plan on Viral Hepatitis” to control and tackle the spread of the virus.
