The Ministry of Education has begun distributing books for the new academic year, to schools before the first academic term of 2020 begins.
State Minister at the Education Ministry, Ahmed Riyaz revealed that they had begun work to transfer the required books for the commencing term on Wednesday and that they will complete the process by the times schools close for the ongoing academic year of 2019.
Students will be handed over their copies on the day schools close on 21 November, along with their report cards, said Riyaz.
Further, Riyaz added that they have enough copies for every student and that schools will begin distributing them on 21 November.
The first school term of 2020 begins on 12 January and teachers are required to report to work on 7 January.
Mid-terms have been set at 8 March.
