Minister of Fisheries, Marine Resources and Agriculture Zaha Waheed is to attend the “Pacific Island Nations Marine Conservation and Maritime Security Summit” being held in New Zealand.
The summit will be held from 3 to 6 September in Auckland, New Zealand.
Minister Zaha is also set to join discussions for marine special planning during the visit.
The meeting and summit are being held in cooperation with the Blue Prosperity Coalition, Environmental Law Institute, White Institute and the IUCN Oceania.
Discussions will be held on marine special planning as well as reaching development through well-planned legal system that matches with international best practices.
Minister Zaha’s participation in said meetings and discussions will be beneficial in shaping the country’s marine special planning sector. With the held of heads of institutes participating in the discussions, Minister Zaha will be able to carry out the due procedure for marine planning in the country in cooperation with the government.
