Although ruling Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has won majority in the 19th Parliament, it will not forget the people’s needs out of arrogance, says MP for Inguraidhoo constituency, Hassan Ahmed.

Speaking on RaajjeTV’s “Fala Surukhee” program on Sunday night, the parliament highlighted that the people have high hopes for the parliament house and stated that parliamentarians have been elected, to serve the people.

Further, he assured that nothing that goes on inside the parliament house during the ongoing 19th Parliament will be hidden from the people and that everything will be open to the them.

Pointing out that parliament has held 34 sittings thus far since the new members were sworn in for a fresh tenure, MP Ahmed stated that the parliament will prove itself to be a beneficial place for the people.

MP Ahmed also said that MDP has always prioritized doing things under legally mandated ways and stressed that the people crave for things to be done with justice.

Pledging to not forget the people’s needs out of arrogance of winning a whopping majority in parliament, MP Ahmed stated that many tasks are being carried out currently, to accomplish the government’s Agenda 19 action plan.

Further, the Inguraidhoo MP assured the public that the government will thoroughly investigate all the wrongdoings during the previous administration of Abdulla Yameen.
