IOIG 2019: Maldives fastest sprinter comes fourth in athletics finals
Saaid headed to the finals after winning second in the 100 meter dash

Maldives’ fastest sprinter, Hassan Saaid came fourth in the athletics finals in the ongoing Indian Ocean Island Games (IOIG).
Saaid won second place in the 100-meter dash held on Monday, which guaranteed him a spot in the finals.
Saaid had claimed gold medal in the finals of the IOIG’s athletics event during the last IOIG held in 2015. He also won silver in the last IOIG’s 200-meter dash.
The two female participants from Maldives had lost the 100-meter dash. The Maldives athletics team had prepared well for the IOIG, in hopes of bringing home a medal.
