Saaid heads to finals after coming second in 100m dash

Sprinter Hassan Saaid
Maldives’ fastest sprinter, Hassan Saaid has won second place in the athletics event in the ongoing Indian Ocean Island Games (IOIG).
With his win in the 100-meter dash, Saaid heads to finals in the 10th IOIG, being hosted in Mauritius.
Saaid had claimed gold medal in the finals of the IOIG’s athletics event during the last IOIG held in 2015. He also won silver in the last IOIG’s 200-meter dash.
He is set to compete in the finals to be held at 04:55pm.
The two female participants from Maldives had lost the 100-meter dash. The Maldives athletics team had prepared well for the IOIG, in hopes of bringing home a medal.
