Telecommunications company Dhiraagu has contributed to Care Society’s vocational training.
The vocational training programme is designed to teach and develop various life skills which will allow persons with disabilities to be equipped with skills which can generate an income for them when they are grown up and out in the community on their own.
Care Society’s executive director Naushan Muhaimin said that they have been conducting the programme since 2017 with the contribution of Dhiraagu and that similar programmes can be sustainable with the support from donors and this would ensure to empower persons with disabilities with special skills.
Dhiraagu has also helped Care Society establish an early intervention class which focuses on skills development in the areas of physical, cognitive, communication, social and self-help skills for young children.
Dhiraagu made the contributions to Care Society as part of its CSR Programme, which gives a significant emphasis on the development and protection of Children.
