JSC is also investigating misconduct allegations against Supreme Court Justice Abdulla Didi

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has on Monday revealed that it has received complaints against two additional judges.

At a press conference on Monday, JSC confirmed that complaints have been filed against a judge from the High Court and Criminal Court.

JSC has formed a three-member committee, to examine whether there are any issues of misconduct.

The Commission did not disclose any details on the judges.

However, RaajjeMV understands that the judges are; High Court Judge Shujau Usman and Criminal Court Judge Hassan Najeeb.

While judges are required to be independent and impartial, there have been reports that Usman had been involved with former President Abdulla Yameen’s failed re-election campaign last year.

In addition, JSC is also investigating sexual assault allegations against Chief Magistrate Mohamed Raaib Ahmed.

It has also received complaints against Family Court Judge Huzaifa Mohamed and R. Makuraathu Magistrate Adnan Hussain.

JSC is also investigating misconduct allegations against Supreme Court Justice Abdulla Didi.
