Pick-up crashes into MTCC bus on Hulhule – Hulhumale highway

An accident that occurred previously destroyed the road dividers on the highway
Maldives Police Service (MPS) has reported an accident that took place on the Hulhule – Hulhumalé highway in the early hours of Sunday.
The accident occurred when a pickup truck on the way to the capital city Malé from its suburbs had its front tires burst and skidded out of control into the next lane and crashed into a bus operated by the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), travelling from Hulhumalé to Hulhule.
The accident was reported to police a little after 2am on Sunday.
While no injuries have been reported in the crash, RaajjeMV understands that the man who was driving the pickup truck was licensed to operate the vehicle.
However, both vehicles had attained heavy damages.
Police have begun investigations into the accident.
