Olympic Committee requests plot of land from government
 
They invited President Solih to the Indian Ocean Island Games to be held this year in Mauritius

Members of the Maldives Olympic Committee have requested President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih to grant them a plot of land.

The members of the Olympic Committee met the President on Tuesday afternoon, at the President’s Office.

During the meeting, the members briefed President Solih on ongoing projects of the committee and shared their requirements from the current government as well.

Committee members further revealed that the Maldives will be participating in 10 games at the Indian Ocean Island Games to be held this year in Mauritius. The games are to be held from 19th to 28th February and the committee members officially presented the President with an invitation during Tuesday’s meeting.

Further, the members held discussions regarding the organization of the games which will be hosted in Maldives in 2023.
