Due to increased demand, MFA to keep Bio-metric Clinic open for a third day
 
Visa issued will allow access to travel to all Schengen countries after first traveling to Germany to acquire access to the other countries
 
Deadline for online bookings is 5:30pm, Friday.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs is set to operate appointments at the temporary Biometric Clinic to issue visa to Germany-Schengen for a third day.

The clinic was initially set to open in capital city Male’ rom 8am to 6pm from 27th – 28th January.

Tthe decision to operate appointments for a third day came after increasing demand.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced its decision to open a temporary Biometric Clinic to issue visa to Germany-Schengen, in capital city Male’ in December.

The ministry stated that the decision to open the clinic follows the close bilateral ties between Germany and Maldives.

Organized by the German Embassy to the Maldives, the Biometric Clinic will provide Schengen Visa Application Service, the first service of its kind to be provided in Maldives.

The Biometric Clinic aims ease the difficulties Maldivians face while applying for visas to travel to Germany, including those participating in Internationale Tourismus-Börse Berlin (ITB) Fair in March.

The ministry further revealed that the deadline for online bookings is 5:30pm on 25th January, this Friday.

Issued visas will allow access to travel to all Schengen countries after first traveling to Germany to acquire access to the other countries.

Individuals are requested to visit the VFS website for further information.
