Voting has begun for the Adventures of Maldives 2018 Video Competition, launched by the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) in association with Red Bull.
While this is the second competition to be held since the first one launched in 2017, it revolves around the theme of promoting Maldives tourism sector and is an online competition where contestants are required to submit their minute-long videos on social media platform, Facebook.
While voting commenced on Thursday, it concludes at 2pm on the 10th of January.

MMPRC through a statement revealed that the submitted videos will be available to view through their Facebook page and votes are counted through “Facebook reacts”. As such, “Like”, “Love” and “Wow” reacts will be counted as votes.
The association further stated that the motive of the competition is to promote activities related to conventional adventure such as surfing, snorkeling, scuba diving and other such water sports that tourists enjoy in the Maldives.
While the best video wins over MVR 100,000, top 10 videos will be featured on MMPRC’s twitter page.
46 videos had been submitted in the first competition held in 2017.
