Popular animated comedy talk show which portrays historical and political figures from the Maldives, and the first and only one of its kind, “Maakana Show” returns to RaajjeTV, and this time, the show will feature newly-elected President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih as one of its characters.
On Tuesday, both parties signed an agreement to bring back the much-applauded show, with a promise of new and exciting twists.
Managing Director Ahmed Saleem signed on behalf of RaajjeTV, while CEO Yamin Rasheed of the Maakana animation Studio signed on behalf of the show.
The promo of the popular cartoon was presented to the station at the signing ceremony held on Tuesday, and CEO Rasheed assured that the new episodes will bring more excitement as Maldives seventh President, Solih will be portrayed as a unique new character.
“Another new voice, another new character for the new President. We present to you, a completely different and unique personality yet again,” said CEO Yamin.
Saleem expressed excitement on the comeback of the popular show on behalf of the station, stating that this brings immense joy to the station, deemed the most popular television station in the nation, and said that without a doubt, this new season with a whole new President will be phenomenal.
“We hope the new season will portray the new messages from a whole new political theme. The team behind this show is very skilled and I am sure they can portray it perfectly,” said Saleem.
RaajjeTV is to begin airing the 13th season of the popular show on the 30th of November.
