The Parliament takes immense pride in the commemoration of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s Presidential term, says recently-elected Parliament Speaker Qasim Ibrahim.
Qasim said this while congratulating President Solih and Vice President Faisal Naseem for the commemoration of their term following their oath-taking ceremony that was held on Saturday evening.
Addressing attendees at the special Parliament sitting held to inaugurate Solih and Naseem at the Galolhu National Stadium, Qasim stated that President Solih is someone who has successfully completed five tenures in Parliament, with this year being his 25th year in Parliament, going on to say that such a personality becoming the elected leader of the country is something that honors the Parliament a great deal.
Speaker Qasim asserted that he does not doubt that President Solih’s tenure will bring swift progress to the development of the nation and said that hopes have been restored for a brighter future.
“There is no doubt that Solih’s tenure will bring speedy progress to the nation. May Allah bless the nation with further progress, advancement and a pleasant future” said Qasim.
