President-elect Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has on Thursday visited popular online news outlets, Mihaaru news and CNM.

While the President-elect has visited several such media outlets since his win in the September polls, privately-run station Raajje Television had gotten the honor of being the first media outlet Solih had visited since securing his win in the Presidential Election. Other media stations the President-elect visited includes SanguTV and VTV.

Other than media, Solih is has been seen visiting the citizens as well as state institutions and their leaders.

Speaking to staff at RaajjeTV during his visit last week, Solih said that it has remained his perpetual dream to see a Maldives in which media and journalism has freedom, stressing that he is aware of the threats and challenges media in the Maldives faces.
