Supporters of the ruling Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) were shown the people's feeling towards their candidate, incumbent President Abdulla Yameen.

PPM campaign teams took to the streets in Malé City on Saturday evening, with some seen at the local market area.

Since then, video footage has surfaced online, showing the PPM campaign team being bombarded by the Joint Opposition's candidate's supporters.

While the team consisted of the incumbent president's spokesperson Ibrahim Muaz Ali, he was seen using a loudspeaker to address those gathered at the market at the time. However, those gathered there are heard yelling out that Yameen does not have their support.

Noting that they support opposition candidate Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, they are seen gesturing number two signs to show their support for the candidate number two.

PPM has faced such situations during their campaign activities previously, as well.

Sharing one of the videos circulating online, opposition aligned lawmaker Ahmed Mahloof noted that 'it is very clear where the people stand'.
