A stabbing has been reported in capital city Male’s suburban extension Hulhumale’ on Tuesday morning.

Injured was a 25-year-old man who was stabbed in eight places while standing outside a hospital being constructed by State Trading Organization (STO) in Hulhumale and the accident was reported at around 07:00 a.m.

Media official at Hulhumale’ Hospital, run by Aasandha company, Aashiya Solih told RaajjeMV that an injured individual had been brought into the hospital at around 07:10 on Tuesday morning. The police had brought him into the hospital and he had been stabbed eight times.

The media official further revealed that the 25-year-old had been transferred to Treetop Hospital at around 11:30 a.m. upon the family’s request, after receiving treatment from Hulhumale Hospital.

According to Aashiya, the individual’s condition was not serious, with police revealing that no arrests have been made in the case thus far, however, RaajjeMV understands that investigation is underway.
