A delegation of main opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has flown off to Trivandrum to establish campaign teams in India.
The delegates headed off to India on Friday to strengthen the opposition’s campaign for September’s presidential election.
The senior official in the delegation is MDP deputy chairperson Ali Niyaz.
During the trip, the delegates are set to establish a campaign team specifically for Maldivian citizens in the neighboring country and also help them re-register their voting locations.
The delegates are set to meet Maldivian citizens in Trivandrum on Friday and citizens in Bangalore on Saturday.
