Turn towards reform during the ballots, we will not take revenge and there's nothing personal: MP Mahloof
'The approaching Presidential Election is a good opportunity for those who have done wrong to turn towards reform'
'We will not take revenge for the torture we faced'
'Some have carried out wrongdoings to defend President Yameen albeit under duress'

Member of Parliament for South-Galolhu constituency, Ahmed Mahloof has said that some people have carried out wrongdoings to defend incumbent President Abdulla Yameen albeit under duress, going on to call on reform as the real problem is Yameen himself.

In a tweet typed out in Dhivehi posted in the late hours of Friday evening, the MP said that while the real problem is President Yameen, the approaching Presidential Election is a good opportunity for those who have done wrong to turn towards reform.

Mahloof further wrote in his tweet that he does not carry vengeful thoughts. His tweet translates “We will not take revenge for the torture we faced. There is nothing personal.”

While Mahloof has taken this to twitter, the opposition coalition have kickstarted their nation-wide door-to-door activities on Friday, with senior officials of the opposition claiming that they will defeat incumbent President Abdulla Yameen by a huge margin in the approaching Presidential Elections slated for the 23rd of September.
