Iskandar School has on Tuesday, decided to take a fee of MVR 200 from students studying in the tenth Grade for the “motivational session” to be conducted for tenth graders.
The message of which RaajjeMV had also attained a copy, sent to guardians of tenth grade students, reads that funds are needed from each student to begin the “motivational session” that is to be conducted by the school.
While the school has organized a system under which the fees will be collected, the message also requests guardians to give their signatures after having submitted the money.
Speaking to RaajjeMV, a senior official at the school said that the program is being conducted to prepare and motivate students for the upcoming examinations, adding that this initiative comes after a proposition from parents and is being conducted with their consent.
The official further said that these sessions are being held with a motive to educate and prepare as well as provide further information on the approaching examinations. The official highlighted that while the same sessions were conducted in 2017, they turned out to be fairly fruitful.
According to the official, qualified foreign lecturers will be taking the sessions which will proceed for a period of two days.
