Adhaalath Party (AP)'s discussion committee has decided to hold a meeting to make decisions regarding the upcoming Presidential Elections.

According to information received by RaajjeMV, the meeting is scheduled for 09:45 p.m on Tuesday night and the meeting's agenda follows making important decisions regarding the Presidential Election.

Adhaalath's discussion committee is to hold a meeting while discussions of the Joint Opposition Parties are underway to announce a coalition candidate for the election, a possible topic in Adhaalath's discussion. However, the party had not commented on the matter.

While Adhaalath Party is also working jointly with the allied opposition, they had previously declared that they will release one candidate if the joint opposition releases a candidate from it's coalition.

They had however assured that the one candidate representing the allied opposition will have the party's full support.

Adhaalath Party had given seven suggestions to add to the manifesto being assembled by the joint oppoairion for a united administration. These seven suggestions were prepared by the party's "Ashaara, Navaara" which translates to "18, 19" advisory committee.

The seven suggestions include to not let any other religion other than Islam be followed in the country, to maintain justice, to guarantee the perpetuation of national security, to empower citizens, bring an end to corruption and to harbour a successful economy.

While Adhaalath's discussion committee has scheduled a meeting, it's leader Imran Abdulla is doing time at Maafushi prison, for a 12-year jail term issued on him after he was found guilty of terrorism allegations raised against him.
