A man in Addu City's Hithadhoo region has fallen off a palm tree and sustained fatal injuries.
Media official at the Maldives Police Service (MPS) said that that death was reported to them at sundown on Monday.
Speaking to RaajjeMV regarding the death, Chief official in the management of Hithadhoo Hospital, Mohamed Najeeb said that the man was brought into the hospital at around 03L30 p.m and he had succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment.
Najeeb further said that the man had attained severe injuries to the head along with a broken arm.
According to reports received by media outlets, the man had climbed the coconut palm tree upon the request of a neighbor and had evidently fallen atop a cluster of rocks.
