The Maldives Meteorological Service (Met office) has predicted heavy rains with thundershowers over northern and central atolls of the country for the next 24 hours.
The Met office said that heavy rain and thundershowers are expected over central and northern atolls with slight showers over southern atolls.
Met office further forecasts surface winds to be south-west to westerly at 10 - 18 miles per hour over central atolls and 05 - 15 miles per hour over the rest of the country.
Moreover, seas are expected to be moderate in central atolls slight to moderate during shower over the rest of the country.
