Hamdhee Ageel, who priorly served as Managing Director of Maldives Road Development Corporation (MRDC), has been appointed as the Senior Policy Executive at the Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure.
In a press release issued on Sunday, the President's Office said that President Abdulla Yameen has appointed Hamdhee, as the Senior Policy Executive at the Ministry.

While Hamdhee has been appointed to a senior post at the housing ministry, he was appointed as the MD at MRDC in January this year. There has been discussions to shut down MRDC, and its operations were transferred to the housing ministry in February.
Hamdhee ,brother of Director General at Regional Airports, Saamee Ageel, had previously held other government posts as well, such as Executive Director at the Ministry of Finance and Treasury as well as Chairman at Maldive Gas.
Hamdhee was the fifth successor to fill the post of MD at MRDC, his predecessors being Mohmed Shafaau Hassan, Ibrahim Nazeem, Ibrahim Haleem Abdul Razzaq and Mohamed Nimal.
