State Electric Company STELCO has notified that power disruptions will be experienced in several districts of capital city Male' suburban extension Hulhumale;

In an announcement publicized by STELCO on their official twitter account typed out in Dhivehi, it reads that two out of the several engines used to generate electricity to the entirety of Hulhumale' are experiencing technical disruption and that work is underway to restore power as soon as possible.

While power will be disrupted from 7pm to 11pm until the generator repairs are complete, the announcement reads that power will be disrupted from districts in a sequence for a duration of one hour.

While the generators in Hulhumale' are experiencing power disruptions, outlying islands and the capital city alike are experiencing power disruptions as well, following which citizens are enduring hardships, especially in islands where power is generated by state utility company Fenaka Corporation.
