Late former President Ibrahim Nasir’s second wife, Mariyam Saeed has passed away at the age of 86.
Her family has confirmed her death to RaajjeMV, adding that she passed away due to natural causes.
Mariyam Saeed passed away while seeking treatment in Sri Lanka, after suffering a stroke over a month ago.
She is the second wife of former President Nasir. While she bore two children- Ali and Muhammad Nasir- with the former President, both had predeceased their mother and father by several years.
She is the daughter of Sheikh Hussain Salaahudheen and Thuhthu Goma.
Mariyam Saeed had served the country in various fields, including education and literature.
