Over 500g of narcotics seized from youth at airport
The man and the seized package of narcotics have been handed over to the Maldives Police Service for investigation.

More than 500 grams of narcotics have been seized from an individual who travelled from Sri Lanka to Male'.
According to Maldives Customs Service (MCS) narcotics seized from the 22-year-old man weighed a total of 527 grams.
According to an official, at MCS the man who had arrived at the Velana International Airport on a Sri Lankan Airlines flight on the 14th of April, had been searched upon suspicious behavior and they had found a package suspected to be narcotics inside his luggage.
Officials at the MCS had found that the substances were positive for heroin, upon thorough analysis.
Customs further said that the man and the seized package of narcotics have been handed over to the Maldives Police Service (MPS) for investigation.
