Deadline for applications is on April 30th

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has announced that they are employing Maldivians with qualifications as an Imam, to lead Tarawih prayers in the upcoming month of Ramdan.

The ministry’s announcement on Wednesday says they are looking for locals who have completely memorized the Qur’an.

Individuals interested in given this position can apply through forms available at the ministry, before 14:00 on April 30th, 2018. Individuals applying from the outlying atolls can do so at regional offices.

The month of Ramadan, ninth in the Hijra calender, is to fall on May 16th, this year.
