6 Kaadehdhoo airport employees sacked
Some of the employees had said that they believe this is a politically influenced decision
According to sources, some of the other staff who hold the same posts as the six dismissed had not received the letter of dismissal

Some of the staff working at Kaadehdhoo airport since it's opening have been handed letters of dismissal.

The management made the decision after deciding to bring a change to their employment framework.

According to sources, dismissed are four individuals from Gaaf Dhaalu atoll Thinadhoo island and two from Madaveli of the same atoll.

Most of the dismissed employees have been working at the airport since it's opening and hold senior posts there.

The letter of the dismissal signed by Regional Airports Director General Saamee Ageel states that they dismissed the employees after deciding to abolish their posts.

He also stated that two months notice will be given under the employment protocol, and their positions will no longer be valid from the beginning of June.

Speaking to RaajjeMV, some of the employees had said that they believe this is a politically influenced decision and that they will face many difficulties upon their dismissal, adding that they will put their best efforts into seeking justice.

These employees had also pointed out that the letter had not been sent through Regional Airport's official email address but through the private email address of one of the staff there to one of the staff at Kaadehdhoo Airport, thus raising questions on the validity of the letter. They added that although the letter bore the company's Director General Saamee Ageel's signature, the company's official stamp was missing.

According to sources, some of the other staff who hold the same posts as the six dismissed had not received the letter of dismissal.

While the conclusion on dismissing staff of Kaadehdhoo Airport has been reached after deciding to amend their employee framework, it is noticeable that employees working in government offices who do not show support for the government have been dismissed in manners alike.
