Hassan Ali to be appointed as High Court judge
The decision was passed at the 18th conference of the Commission held on Wednesday night with the consent of all present members
Present Justices at the court include Shujau Usman, Abdulla Ghanee Mohamed, Abdulla Hameed, Shuaib Hussain Zakariya, Abdul Rauf Ibrahim, Ali Sameer and Chief Justice Abdulla Didi.

The Judicial Services Commission (JSC) is to appoint Hassan Ali as a High Court judge.

According to its official website, the decision was passed at the 18th conference of the Commission held on Wednesday night with the consent of all present members.

JSC is to appoint Hassan to one of the three vacant seats.

Present Justices at the court include Shujau Usman, Abdulla Ghanee Mohamed, Abdulla Hameed, Shuaib Hussain Zakariya, Abdul Rauf Ibrahim, Ali Sameer and Chief Justice Abdulla Didi.

Hassan had previously filled position of Registrar at the High Court as well as a controller at the Immigration office.  He had later been appointed as Aasandha Company’s Managing Director upon his dismissal from the company in April last year.

A sitting judge at the High Court receives up to MVR 50.000 as monthly salary with basic salary and special increments.
