Women's empowerment is one of the key priorities of this administration, says President

President Abdulla Yameen has said that protecting women’s rights and empowering women is ‘one of the key priorities’ of his administration.
The President sent greetings to all women on Thursday, on International Women’s Day, as well as the men who continue to respect women.
He also noted administration work to ensure the rights of women, by amending and enforcing various laws.
Noting the government’s work to empower and include women, the President emphasized that this has been recognized by the international community, adding that “this is a big accomplishment for the nation”.
Furthermore, President Yameen said that seeing women working in “non-stereotype” work is a sign that “the future is getting brighter”.
He ended the message by assuring the government’s commitment to women’s development.
