The manner in which the police handle detainees medical requirements have been shared with the Human Rights Commission of the Maldives (HRCM).
Opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP)'s Secretary General Anas Abdul Sattar, Male' City Mayor Shifa Mohamed and MDP's Chief Ali Niyaz had taken part in the meeting on Sunday.

While many opposition leaders, activists and parliamentarians are being arrested from the series of rallies being held since February 1, the police are evidently heedless when it comes to the medical requirements of detainees.
